This is where i was up to tonight in the stripping. It feels good as i am getting back to the shell and building the zed how i want it so any nuts and bolts i dont need wont go back on :D Oh and looking round the shell she is solid no rust what so ever perfect in fact :)

I have been busy writing up a plan for my build and have come up with creative ideas so will see how they do along the way.

One thing i have looked at is the fact that i am building the car for the strip and SZ zed The Blue Beast that runs a 9.42 has an auto box. Now i spoke to Greg Dupree on this along with the idea of a paddle shift set up which we seem to think would be the best way to go as i have seen a paddle shift set up for sale in Sweden.

This will mean though that my performance Manual bits will be up for sale.

SWB NA zedworld one piece prop
Exedy twin plate clutch and flywheel
braided clutch hose one piece
cromoly clutch fork pivot

and that is all i can think of for now but parts wont be available until October :)

I have just had the paddle shift kit for my build delivered from ESS racing :)

http://www.ess-racing.com/

I was told that this was the last one left as it has now been dis continued with 50 kits worldwide!

Having spoke with Greg Dupree on the blue beast build autobox is the best way to get 1/4 mile times and with this kit being able to fully map the gear changes things can only be better.

Of course all the other auto tranmission components will be upgraded from SZ just need to find a strong box now im thinking the SZ race box will do for $3500

What's your asking prices on those parts Marty?

With that ESS kit being discontinued are they still keeping spares available?

The ESS kit pretty much has 3 parts to it being paddles, box and gauge. Full support will be continued and mapping support i have been in contact with the company and Maciej there has been extremely helpful.

On the parts I'm selling the prop has sold and the Exedy twin plate and flywheel I will be putting up for £400. I'm pretty sure to get one into the country you are looking at around £1600 after import tax and delivery.

The other bits will be 20-30 quid and will have part of a manual conversion set up too

Ok so as I have been mainly working on the black shorty and truck I haven't got as much done here as I would have liked but the engine parts are now here so I'm making progress.

I have someone coming to collect parts tomorrow that wanted a SWB fuel tank or filler neck so I thought why not get under there and get that dead weight out of there I'm not gonna be using it. The subframe was dropped to get the tank out and I will probably clean up the subframe next now and go about doing the undersealing.

This car plans have gone from fast road comfort and full of interior to fully stripped out roll cage, light doors and boot and mental amount of weight loss. I have been discussing engine spec plans with Greg Dupree and Kyle Puckett as well which has led to me changing the current spec.

Insanely lightweight car, NOS and 700+ bhp what's is going to happen I may even take off :)

Well I just so happen to know someone with an ATL race cell going :D standard tank is so heavy and bulky I will have the cell mounted in the boot space behind the NOS
