So now the other forum is back up here is a cut and paste of the latest work.

Back in the workshop and work has started. Custom made carbon fibre scuttle panels are going on :)

Image

As well Pez or Dan these IC pipes look right don't they. EDIT I just found my Greddy manual :)

Image

Back in the workshop today and I'm knocking up a little custom carbon fibre switch panel in place of the ash tray to house my aftermarket heated seat switches and cig lighter port.

Image

I've been making a little backwards progress today due to the keys being stolen and having to change locks and barrel plus dramas with the alarm. However I did hook the battery up and get the lights on to have a look. Got custom made halo sidelights and if uglier dials installed. Man I can't wait to drive this car I've been eyeing up some 12" rims for the rear as they should squeeze in :)

Oh and I hooked one of the seats up to check on the electrics aftermarket heated panels when the retrim was done :)

Finally got the intellistart wired in and it works on a quick test

Waiting on expedited oil pipes from the US now for my turbo oil returns.
Image
I was cracking on with installing the push start button and then the rest of the interior got the ignition switch in just to do the push button now and mount it. Will be on keyless ignition and blank off the ignition barrel hole.
Image
There is finally an end in sight as the drivers seat goes in.

Image

Also had an idea to relocate the battery to the boot as it is a simple but effective task

Also a look forward to is I will be moving into new premises at the end of June with the capacity for 6 cars :D have another couple of people maybe going in with me too with Aristo's but will mean plenty more room to work out of and store parts :)

I have managed to pick up a pair of Bomex mirrors to add to the Bomex theme on the car. I will be getting them modified as I'm not happy with the rough look that they produced them with so will be getting them all smoothed.

A little update as I managed to get a few days in the car.

Replaced the alarm and it's working just got to sure in the intellistart.

Picked up some new boost pipes which the colour coding suggests they are HKS ones :)

Japspeed decats went on

Redline MT-90 oil change on the gbox

Millers fully syn has arrived for the engine oil change

Engine fired up a little lumpy and troublesome to start with but a few tweaks and got her running pretty much spot on.

Got an oil leak though from the turbo returns as the ones that were fitted were not perfect for the HKS tubs looks like I'll be ordering from the US this week

Image

Oh and I took a few pics of the engine build I've got for the track that I'm looking at selling as I've had another plan ;) here is a taster

Image
Image

I spent far too much time out on the bike as the weather was ok :)

Got a couple more days at the end of this week but doubt my bits will be in from the US so won't be able to start the engine and get her rolling :(

I am on the hunt now for wheels as I need 12" rears and 9s ideally front but I may be able to make things fit over that so if anyone hears of any I'm interested :)

Had another week on the zed this week and all I really managed to get done was sort a couple of boost leaks after pressurising the system and then fit my carbon fibre scuttle panels fully.

The new plastic screws had arrived costing around £15 and also fitted some gold mesh under them as I wasn't happy with the way they have been made with gaping holes which you can see in the picture and is not how they look standard.

Image

Image

Still on a lose hunt for some wide rims as I saw a set in DW but 11.5 in the rears and I want 12 cos that extra half makes all the difference of course ;)

The battery is going to be relocated to the boot as I was given a battery box but will be on the hunt for a smaller battery as the standard is too tall for what I want. Should have the knowledge on here with all the track people to recommend the right one for the needs.

The bodyshop is still dragging their heels respraying the front bumper and passenger door handle but doing it at mates rates I can't really complain and the Bomex mirrors are in as well to get sorted.

Spent most the week in my truck as I picked up some 10" wide rims and massive tyres. The body is already on 2" lift but I needed to remove the front mudguards as they were catching and still do on full lock. I've just won a 5" body lift kit so that will sort things ;)
